in Bloomington. Cook is a well-known specialist in textual
editing and has been the General Editor of the W. D. Howells
Edition. He is a member of several editorial boards and
associations and has served as president of the Association
for Documentary Editing and as the Chair (for five years)
of the MLA Committee on Scholarly Editions.

-- a leading authority on Peirce's logic. Roberts was President
